It's Bath Time Somwhere

In my opinion one of the greatest things in life is a simple, relaxing bubble bath.  I try to take a bath once a week to de-stress and take some time for myself.  I usually take a bath on Sunday nights and I have a little routine where I light a candle, put on a face mask and either read a book or watch some YouTube videos.
Currently Using:
NIP + FAB Detox Blend Bath Soak - smells amazing, the right amount of bubbles and yes, super relaxing
Vitamin E Exfoliating Body Scrub - a really basic body scrub that is not too coarse and turns from a cream into a foaming texture when applied
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream - not my favorite body cream but I must use up this rather large tub
Superdrug Superberry Mud Mask - leaves my skin very soft and the granules don't bother me because I'm not scrubbing my face with it
REN Moroccan Rose Otto Body Lotion - used this on my arms to give it a try but I am not impressed.  I don't like the way it feels when I apply it, it is really hard to rub in and has a horrible tacky feeling
Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel - 'm really bad at self tanning and I definitely don't do it on a regular basis but this is a fairly light color that works well for people like me who don't know what they are doing when it comes to self tanning
Bath and Body Works mini candles are fantastic.  Even though small in size, they give off so much scent.  I like to put mine in candle holders so they tie in with the decor better.  I just started using this mini in Beach Cabana and I can't wait to try more summer scents.

I'm running out of this NIP + FAB bath soak at rapid speed.  The bottle itself isn't very big and I definitely have a heavy hand when it comes to adding it to the bath.  I bought this at TJ Maxx, and because this is a British brand, I'm not sure where I am going to get more when I run out!

Lip Product Addict Tag

1. Favorite Balm/Treatment? - Nuxe Reve de Miel.  This is the best overnight treatment because it is very moisturizing, super thick and applies smoothly.
2. Best Eye-catching Red? - Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Big Bang. I don't often wear this but it is definitely eye catching.  You can't miss the bright, super opaque and glossy finish of this product.
3. Best Luxury/Drugstore? - Luxury: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy. The best in my opinion because it is a pricey lipstick but the wearable color means I get a lot of use out of it.  Drugstore: Maybelline The Elixir Colorsensational in Caramel Infused.  Almost a dupe for my favorite lip gloss (see below).  Inexpensive, moisturizing, compact packaging and the color is perfect for an everyday lip.
4. Best MAC Lipstick? - Syrup. Once again a super wearable color that leans more towards a matte look without being a full on matte lipstick.
5. Most Disappointing? - Revlon Lip Butters.  I think most people would disagree with me but I find these drying on the lips and don't really have the texture of what I consider to be a "butter."  They are also pigmented so it requires more than just swiping it on in a hurry and the pink shade I have has actual flakes of glitter in it which I find odd.
6. Liner - yes or no? Generally no.  Unless it is for a red or extremely bright lip.  When I do use a liner I use the Lipstick Queen Invisible Liner.
7. Best Gloss? - MAC Cremesheen in Deelight.  Probably my favorite lip product ever.  I don't need a mirror to apply, it is the perfect everyday color and looks very glossy on the lips.
8. Something Extra? - Nars Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil in Mexican Rose and Nars Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Place Vendome. Worn together this is my favorite bright lip combination. I get so many compliments when I wear it but I tend to save it for special occasions.  However, I think I need to break them out more and give them some love.

My Tory Burch Shoe Collection

I love Tory Burch flats... and by the look of these photos I clearly don't need anymore.  I've collected these flats over several years, either buying them for myself or receiving them as very generous gifts. While I enjoy wearing heels, I prefer to walk around the office and run errands in flats and with so many colors, textures and varieties it is always easy to pick a pair to wear and throw them on.  I wear the black ones the most since I am an attorney but the bright blue, leopard and silver pairs are my favorite.  And the true selling point: with the exception of one pair, they don't hurt my feet!

Empties #2

Repurchase: Yes - takes off every scrap of makeup, smells amazing and hydrates the skin
Repurchase: No - smells amazing, lots of bubbles initially, but they quickly disappear and isn't very moisturizing despite what the packaging says
Repurchase: Yes - cheap, moisturizing and easily absorbed, enough said
Repurchase: No - purely because I have too many cleansers.  Good cream consistency, hydrating and useful for a morning cleanse or second cleanse after makeup removal
Repurchase: Yes - if I lived in the UK.  Smells amazing and very sudsy!

Repurchase: No - the almond scent is fantastic but too much product is necessary for all-over moisture and the price is too high
Repurchase: Yes - again, if I lived in the UK.  Super exfoliating, lots of oil for moisture and creates an instant warming effect because of the salt
Repurchase: Yes - this is a really good, lightly scented, extremely creamy and moisturizing product.  In addition to using this as a body wash, it also makes a great shaving cream
Repurchase: No - only because I have so many body lotions/butters and they take forever to go through.  The only downside is the product is very thick, yet at the same time I found it necessary to use a lot of product for all-over moisture

The Best Get Well Present Ever

Last friday I unfortunately had to have surgery to remove skin cancer from my nose.  I also had reconstructive surgery right after to make my nose look like it did before the doctor cut away a large chunk of it.  In short, last friday wasn't pleasant...especially because I wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun!

On the bright side, there was a brand new iPad mini waiting for me when I got home.  My first generation iPad was nearing the end so this wonderful present came at exactly at the right time.  I honestly don't think my new iPad has left my hands since I opened it.  Anything done in miniature form is fantastic and the iPad is no exception. I absolutely love how small it is and it makes watching YouTube videos and reading blog posts much more enjoyable because it is so lightweight.  While I've really been enjoying it, I think it is about time I put it down and rejoin the world a bit!

Thanks mom and dad for the super generous gift!
