Since May, when I painted and bought new furniture, my bedroom walls have been blank and lately it really started to bother me. However, being extremely picky and indecisive, I couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted some sort of gallery but I needed inspiration and even after countless pinterest pages I still couldn't find that something I was looking for. That all changed last week when I saw a post on Lauren Elizabeth's blog. It basically spoke to me... it was exactly what I was envisioning in my head. Of course I want mine to be different, but it was just what I needed to see to get rolling.
I headed straight to HomeGoods to have a look around. In the end I only found one piece there - a large square framed inspirational print in gold text, the exact color I was looking for. At $16 it was a bargain too. I plan on dipping the frame in gold to make it look less generic. Next, I knew I wanted to incorporate The Beatles into the mix and luckily found a great black-and-white postcard in my travel mementos stash that I bought in London years ago. Instead of framing it, I bought big gold paper clips at Target which I will attach to the wall with a screw. Lastly, in search of more prints I browsed Etsy for well over an hour until I found this awesome Blair Waldorf quote that I knew I had to get - the color schemed worked and Blair was always my favorite on Gossip Girl (As I write this post and look at the photos I've noticed that Waldorf is not spelled correctly on the print. Time to email the Etsy seller!)
I still have more bits and pieces to pick up, do some customization, and of course put everything up on the wall, but it's a start!
Haha I love that Blair Waldorf quote! I noticed the miss-spelling to, good that you will mail the seller :)

The seller fixed it super quick, now I just have to print out another one... and of course put it up on the wall!
